Meet Dr. Alan Frankel
Alan H. Frankel, DMD
I have provided the Margate community with the highest quality of dental care for more than 40 years. In that time, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know our patients, learning about their interests and families, and many of them have become close friends. I cherish these relationships and feel so fortunate to have the ability to make such a positive difference in their lives.
I appreciate the fact that, through my years of education and experience, I am able to help those around me live healthier, happier lives. Now, with my son, Dr. Joel Frankel, practicing alongside of me, I know that we’ll be able to continue our mission of providing the very best dental care to our patients for many years to come.

I keep current with continuing education courses and with the latest technology and equipment the dental field has to offer. It helps me provide patients with a more accurate diagnosis, more streamlined treatment planning, and a much more comfortable experience. I enjoy learning the latest concepts and being able to utilize this knowledge to benefit my patients, my team, and myself.

Outside the Office
At a very young age, my family moved to Margate. Soon thereafter I started selling ice cream on the beach in order to put myself through school. After spending time in the army and working as a dentist in North Jersey I came home to practice dentistry in the community that I love so much. I have, as the saying goes, "sand in my shoes!" My family is the most important thing in my life. My beautiful wife, Peggy, and I are very proud of all of our childrens' accomplishments. David is a sports medicine physician practicing in Tucson, Ted is a lawyer in Chicago who specializes in corporate law, Joel practices with me as a specialist in periodontics and prosthodontics, and Sunne is a nurse working at Pennsylvania Hospital who is pursuing her master's degree in Health Care Administration at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. When I have free time I enjoy playing tennis, biking, and reading.
